The four finalists in the competition were Aimee Piche of Canada, Scott Borg Of Australia, Alejandro Cote of Dutch Antilles and Dieter Hennings Yeoman of Mexico. All performed at an extremely high level of professionalism and yet with highly personalized expression. The victor after three gruelling days of competition culminating in a performance of the guitar concerto was Dieter Henning Yeoman of Mexico.
