Jazz Guitarists

My absolute favourite jazz guitarists appear in the sidebar list. Tops are Joe Pass and Gene Bertoncini both USA artists. I've seen both perform live  and had the wonderful opportunity to take part in workshops by Gene. If you're in New York City on January 27th you can see Gene play at the Bella Luna Ristorante at 8pm. It's located at 584 Columbus Ave.( between 88th and 89th Str) in New York. Phone is 1 212 877 2267. The food is great and reasonable Italian.

Marcin Dylla Performs in New York

Marcin Dylla from Poland has won numerous prestigious European competitions in the last fifteen years and arrives in New York on Sunday, January 11, 2009 to give a recital at the Roger Smith Hotel. The venue is located at 501 Lexington Ave. at 47th St. and the performance will be given in the posh Penthouse Recital Space. Mr. Dylla was born on June 6, 1976 in Chorzow and studied among others with Oscar Ghiglia. He has won numerous competitions including the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America competition.  The program begins at 4 pm. For details please check www.nyccgs.com.
